Types of Works Eligible for Publication
EDI Press UniMarconi welcomes proposals for the publication of various types of works:
- Monographs: original studies on a single research topic; they must present original results and have a significant impact in their field.
- Edited volumes: collections of essays or articles written by different authors on a common theme, introduced by an explanatory text. They are coordinated by one or more editors, who introduce the volume with an explanatory text. It is important to ensure coherence and scientific quality among the various contributions.
- Textbooks: intended for university teaching.
- Critical editions: analyze already existing works (historical, philosophical, literary texts, etc.). They are based on comparison between manuscripts, printed versions, and other sources. They must provide rigorous philological analysis, with commentary and annotations.
- Conference proceedings: collect contributions presented by scholars during an academic conference. They must be clearly structured and accompanied by a preface explaining the context.
Authors interested in submitting a proposal are encouraged to consult the editorial series and Scientific Committees in advance, in order to verify publication objectives and the work’s alignment with editorial guidelines.
How to Submit a Proposal
Publication proposals must be sent by email to c.parretti@unimarconi.it using one of the following templates:
- Proposal for the publication of a series
- Proposal for the publication of a book / textbook
- Proposal for the publication of a doctoral thesis
The Scientific Committee of EDI Press UniMarconi evaluates originality, scientific/teaching relevance, and consistency with the editorial plan. The Scientific Committee may:
- Accept the proposal
- Reject it
- Request revisions from the author
In case revisions are requested, the text will be re-examined to verify that the changes have been correctly implemented.

- Rifiutarla
- Richiedere revisioni all’autore
The Scientific Committee provides its decision within a maximum of 3 months.
Quality Criteria
Submitted works must comply with the principles of academic writing, ensuring:
- Originality and methodological rigor. The work must offer a new and significant contribution to its field. It must be based on a solid methodology and reliable sources.
- Compliance with ethical and legal principles (including copyright and source selection). It must ensure proper use of sources and respect for copyright.
- Linguistic and formal quality. The writing must be clear, coherent, and consistent with academic standards.
- Consistency in bibliography and citations, according to specific disciplinary standards. They must follow precise criteria depending on the discipline (APA, Chicago, MLA, etc.). In edited volumes, the editor is responsible for editorial consistency among the various contributions.
Scientific quality is ensured through peer review conducted by independent experts.
Submission of the Text and Additional Materials
Authors must provide the text in its final version, complete and without missing parts, in digital format.
Images (including tables and/or graphs) must be embedded in the text to indicate their placement and must also be submitted as separate files in image format. Only high-quality images (not blurred, not pixelated, etc.) with a resolution of at least 300 dpi (pixels per inch) will be accepted.
For the publication of images taken from manuscripts, printed materials, photographs, or other copyrighted material, authorization for publication must be obtained and communicated.
