Established in 2008 and reformed in 2025, the Department of Human Sciences represents the privileged place for the study of the humanities within UniMarconi. With thematic areas ranging from psychology to educational sciences, from communication sciences to literature, from languages to the protection of cultural heritage and motor sciences, the DSU represents a center of excellence within the landscape of Italian online universities.
The main mission of the DSU has always been to promote a harmonious interaction between the quality of research, educational innovation (in environments and methods), social inclusion, and attention to the local area and the business world.
Through six bachelor’s degree programs, four master’s degree programs, and nine first- and second-level master’s programs, the DSU presents itself as an enriching and inclusive environment that fosters the cultural growth of all enrolled students and contributes to the social development of the academic community and the surrounding territory.

Teaching
Since its establishment, the Department of Human Sciences of UniMarconi has based its teaching approach on three fundamental pillars: flexibility, innovation, and inclusion.
Flexibility, because our ten degree programs and over twenty curricula allow each student to build a tailor-made educational path, in line with their learning objectives and professional growth goals.
Innovation, because we have always valued the potential of new technologies, from the web to artificial intelligence, to enhance the study experience and support the achievement of learning outcomes.
Inclusion, because quality teaching is teaching that, while striving for excellence, guarantees everyone the same opportunities for learning and success.
Territory and Society
The Third Mission represents the set of actions through which the university makes the results of its research and educational activities available to society, in the awareness that the growth of knowledge fosters collective well-being also at the economic and social levels. For this reason, DSU researchers are at the forefront in developing initiatives aimed at demonstrating that, alongside the long-term benefits derived from basic research, it is possible to use research results to generate concrete and immediate impacts on the lives of communities. On this page we present the main activities through which the DSU seeks to contribute directly to the social, cultural, and economic development of the territory.
