Study Support Software

This section lists software dedicated to UniMarconi students, accessible through institutional credentials and designed to support study, design, and development activities.

  • Compilatio is the service provided by Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi to support students in checking the originality of their work and the proper use of bibliographic sources. Through the platform, students can verify potential similarities with academic content and online resources, receive detailed reports, and improve the quality of their texts through proper citation management. For UniMarconi students, Compilatio Studium is available.

    The service is available free of charge to UniMarconi students for up to 40 pages per year.

    To access the service, students must register using their institutional @studenti.unimarconi.it email address through the Compilatio platform and request the activation code by writing to biblioteca@unimarconi.it.

  • Microsoft 365 Education includes productivity and collaboration tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive, available online and, if included in the assigned license, also through desktop applications.

    To access:

    1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/it-it/education/products/office
    2. Sign in with your institutional @studenti.unimarconi.it account
    3. Use the available online applications
    4. If enabled, select “Install apps” or “Install Microsoft 365” to download the desktop applications

    If the installation option is not visible, the assigned license may only allow the use of web apps.

  • The Autodesk Education suite allows eligible students to access software for CAD design, 3D modeling, simulation, animation, rendering, and mechanical design.

    To activate the educational license:

    1. Go to https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview
    2. Create or sign in to an Autodesk Account using the @studenti.unimarconi.it email address
    3. Select the “Student” profile
    4. Search for the University during the verification process
    5. Upload any required documentation to confirm student status (request it from the academic office)
    6. After approval, download the desired software and sign in with the same Autodesk Account
  • Autodesk AutoCAD is CAD software for 2D technical drawing and 3D modeling, used for architectural, engineering, and mechanical design, as well as DWG documentation production.

    Download and activation:

    1. Access the Autodesk Education Community
    2. Complete student verification
    3. Search for “AutoCAD”
    4. Download the version compatible with your operating system
    5. Launch the software and sign in with the educational Autodesk Account
  • Autodesk Fusion 360 is a cloud platform for 3D design, parametric modeling, simulation, CAM, and prototyping.

    Download and activation:

    1. Access the Autodesk Education Community
    2. Verify student status
    3. Select “Fusion”
    4. Download and install the software
    5. Sign in with the Autodesk Account associated with the university email address
  • Autodesk Maya is software for 3D modeling, animation, simulation, rendering, and visual effects, used in fields such as film, video games, and digital content production.

    Download and activation:

    1. Access the Autodesk Education Community
    2. Search for “Maya”
    3. Download the software
    4. Log in with the educational Autodesk Account
  • Autodesk 3ds Max is software for 3D modeling, animation, and rendering, particularly used for architectural visualization, design, 3D assets, and digital content.

    Download and activation:

    1. Access the Autodesk Education Community
    2. Verify the student profile
    3. Search for “3ds Max”
    4. Download and install the software
    5. Sign in with the educational Autodesk Account
  • Autodesk Inventor is 3D CAD software for mechanical design, part and assembly creation, technical documentation, and product simulation.

    Download and activation:

    1. Access the Autodesk Education Community
    2. Complete student status verification
    3. Search for “Inventor”
    4. Download and install the software
    5. Sign in with the educational Autodesk Account
  • JetBrains PhpStorm is a professional IDE for PHP and web development, featuring tools for code completion, refactoring, debugging, PHP frameworks, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    Download and activation:

    1. Go to https://www.jetbrains.com/student/
    2. Request the JetBrains Student Pack using the @studenti.unimarconi.it email address
    3. Confirm the email and complete verification
    4. Download JetBrains Toolbox App or PhpStorm
    5. Sign in with the approved JetBrains Account
  • JetBrains WebStorm is an IDE for JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.

    Download and activation:

    1. Request the JetBrains Student Pack
    2. Use the @studenti.unimarconi.it account
    3. Install JetBrains Toolbox App
    4. Select WebStorm
    5. Sign in with the educational JetBrains Account
  • JetBrains DataGrip is an environment for working with SQL databases and various DBMSs, useful for writing queries, exploring schemas, managing data, and analyzing database structures.

    Download and activation:

    1. Request the JetBrains Student Pack
    2. Complete student status verification
    3. Install JetBrains Toolbox App
    4. Select DataGrip
    5. Sign in with the educational JetBrains Account
  • JetBrains PyCharm is an IDE for Python, web development, data science, notebooks, and debugging Python applications.

    Download and activation:

    1. Request the JetBrains Student Pack at https://www.jetbrains.com/student/
    2. Verify the account using the @studenti.unimarconi.it email address
    3. Install PyCharm through JetBrains Toolbox App or direct download
    4. Sign in with the educational JetBrains Account
