Training Courses The work of the talent agent in Italian and international cinema

Qualification
Certificate of attendance
Credits (ECTS)
2

Overview

The course aims to provide a perspective on one of the lesser-known professions in international cinema: the Talent Agent.

Specifically, the role of the film agent will be studied, reconstructing a chronology of the profession from the dawn of cinema to the present day. The various phases of their work will then be explored, along with the additional career opportunities that this managerial role may offer (personal manager, press agent, etc.). The course also aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the Italian film industry and its lesser-known internal structure, defining the roles and institutions that comprise it.

  • Understand the various phases of a film agent’s work.
  • Acquire historical knowledge of management and the construction of an actor’s image from the dawn of cinema to the present.
