The research includes the development of models for techno-economic assessments of the biomass gasification process coupled with CHP production via SOFC, based on experimental data from the ENEA research center gasifier in Trisaia. Specifically, the research project encompasses economic analyses of CAPEX and OPEX, including sensitivity simulations to optimize the plant at commercial scale and identify areas for technical improvement. The results are compared with alternative technologies to determine the best strategies for scale-up.
The market analysis includes: PESTLE for the general context, Porter analysis for competition and opportunities, SWOT for strengths and weaknesses, and CANVAS to assess business profitability and sustainability. The BCG matrix is used to estimate the commercial potential of the technology, identifying the most suitable CHP markets and optimal use cases.
