Objectives
The Master’s Degree in Philology and Modern Literatures aims to develop advanced competencies in the fields of philology, literature, and linguistics. Its primary objective is to promote a mature and critical study of knowledge related to Italian studies in its various dimensions—including literary criticism and philology, also within a comparative framework—as well as linguistics, literary theory, and, more broadly, the history of culture and historical-philosophical disciplines.
Thanks to its three curricula, the program offers a broad and multidisciplinary academic pathway, structured to meet students’ interests and educational needs. The curricula are:
Italian Studies:
Focused on the study of Italian and European literature, also from a comparative perspective, this curriculum provides advanced competencies in education and cultural dissemination.
Philology and Linguistics:
Centered on the study of linguistics, both diachronic and synchronic, and philology, this curriculum provides advanced competencies in publishing, linguistic analysis, and textual analysis.
Literature, Philosophy, and Communication:
Focused on the study of the contexts and modes in which literary production and communication take place, this curriculum provides advanced competencies in the transmission and dissemination of culture.
The program is delivered in Italian language; for further information, please contact admissions@unimarconi.com
