ISE is a project involving 30 partners from 15 European countries, aimed at the large-scale adoption of eLearning tools and resources in science education. The project includes a pilot phase involving around 5,000 schools across Europe.

The project enables the application of the Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) methodology in science teaching through the use of a range of technological tools and digital resources, which are gathered on an online platform.

Through the platform, teachers can access interactive simulations, educational games, and utilize remote labs, integrating these tools into regular curricular activities. ISE also includes an evaluation system, based on the PISA 2020 framework, capable of assessing the outcomes of the learning process, students’ problem-solving abilities, and the professional development of the participating teachers.
