Guglielmo Marconi University introduces the Alias Careers program, aimed at ensuring respect, dignity, and privacy for students who need to adopt a “chosen” name different from their official legal name during their academic experience.
The Alias Careers program allows for the creation of a parallel identity, recognized exclusively within the University, to facilitate an inclusive pathway for students undergoing gender transition, enabling them to experience university life in harmony with their chosen identity.
How to Activate an Alias Career
To initiate the activation process for an Alias Career, interested students must send a request by email to carriera.alias@unimarconi.it, attaching:
- The application form for activating the Alias Career;
- A copy of a valid identity document;
- A recent passport-style photograph.
The Student Office will forward all information and required documentation to the Rector or their delegate for approval.
Once the application is accepted, an “Alias Career Confidentiality Agreement” will be signed between the student and the University. Subsequently, the Student Office will proceed with activating the Alias Career in accordance with the guidelines established by the University Regulations.
