Post-graduate professional psychology internship (L24)
Mandatory for L-24 graduates under both the old and new degree regulations who intend to register in Section B of the Register of Psychologists.
Eligible Candidates
Graduates in Psychological Science and Techniques (Class L-24) from Unimarconi may be admitted to the six-month internship for Section B.
During this transitional phase, graduates from other universities are not admitted.
Duration and Structure
The internship lasts six months.
The internship programme corresponds to 500 total hours of supervised activity and 105 attendance days.
The internship must be continuous. A weekly attendance of approximately 15–30 hours is recommended, with a maximum of 8 hours per day.
Attendance, taking these recommendations into account, must be agreed upon with the host organization and may not exceed 40 hours per week.
Host Institutions and Supervising Tutor
Applicants may independently identify the institution where the internship will take place. The internship may be carried out at public or private institutions (the latter must have been established for at least three years) where psychological activities are conducted and where the presence of one or more psychologists is guaranteed.
Such psychologists must:
- be regularly registered in Section A of the Register of Psychologists for at least three years;
- be employees or have an ongoing professional relationship of at least 20 hours per week;
- be able to perform the role of supervising tutor.
Important Notes
- Internships cannot be carried out in the private practice of a single self-employed psychologist.
- Internships cannot be carried out in institutions where the owner, manager, partner, and/or director has family or affinity ties with the applicant student up to the 4th degree. Internships may be carried out at the company where the student is employed, provided that they take place outside working hours, and they are conducted in a different sector from the student’s regular employment. In such cases, a written declaration from the company manager is required.
There is a list of host institutions already approved by the Joint Committee (University / Lazio Order of Psychologists) and affiliated with Unimarconi. Availability to host interns must still be verified.
The list can be consulted here:
If the institution of interest is not included in the list, a request for new accreditation may be submitted.
