PROFIC

The aim of the PROFIC project is to effectively support IC curriculum development through professional development and pedagogical testing in Latin American (Argentina, El Salvador, Mexico) HEIs in order to enhance quality of educational delivery in diverse cultural settings. Therefore, the PROFIC project specific objectives are:

1) to identify specific intercultural needs and challenges for curriculum development in participating Latin American HEIs;

2) to develop an integrated and blended professional development programme for LA HEI employees in order to increase their personal IC and ability to impart this knowledge on their students through curriculum development;

3) to develop a free open educational resource (OER) by way of an adaptive PROFIC Toolkit that would support HEIs in intercultural learning and teaching;

4) to develop a network for knowledge exchange and sharing best practices between Latin American and European HEIs in the field of curriculum development of intercultural competence.
