Overview
The course offers specialized operators the opportunity to explore in depth the issues necessary to effectively address the growing phenomenon of violence and to support individuals who choose to report abuse or who approach the authorities to begin a recovery pathway.
The course is structured into several sections, each providing specific training in different subject areas. The specialized operators trained through this course will be able to work on a permanent basis within public institutions and non-profit organizations, where they can deliver targeted and specific assistance to all individuals facing situations of difficulty related to violence, offering comprehensive and personalized support.
Objectives
- Understand the need for specialized training when working with people who experience violence.
- Identify the healthcare and protection needs of victims of violence and understand the importance of an exit pathway. Recognize that supporting victims of violence requires collaboration and integration among different professional roles.
- Learn how to act within the scope of one’s own competencies as part of an integrated anti-violence network to ensure victims’ safety throughout the process of leaving a situation of violence.
- Develop the ability to propose concrete and protective solutions for victims of violence during their path toward self-determination.
