The Master in Counterterrorism is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the terrorist phenomenon, not only from a historical and ideological perspective but also through investigative, intelligence, and internal and maritime security methodologies. This master’s degree, organized in partnership with the Machiavelli Center for Political and Strategic Studies, offers a rich and varied curriculum. Terrorism remains a complex and dynamic threat in the global context, requiring professionals with specialized skills in prevention, counteraction, and analysis. The master’s degree addresses:
- Internal Security Needs: With the rise of terrorist threats, there is a growing demand for experts in intelligence, national security, and counterterrorism who can work in government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and international security organizations.
- Private Sector: Private security firms, risk consultants, and companies with global interests require personnel capable of assessing and mitigating terrorist risks.
- Research and Analysis: Academic institutions, think tanks, and research centers require analysts who can provide critical insights into the terrorist phenomenon, thus influencing public policy and security strategy.
