Objectives

The Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering for Sustainable Innovation trains highly qualified professionals with a solid and versatile educational background. Graduates are able to understand and manage industrial and technological environments by combining advanced technical expertise with a broader perspective on production processes.

Graduates are equipped to analyze and manage industrial and technological contexts with strong preparation in multiple areas, including: machinery, processes, and industrial plants in the era of Industry 4.0; measurement and testing systems; supervision, automation, and control systems; energy and mobility; technological innovation; energy sustainability; optimization of energy systems; technology management and innovation; corporate economics and sustainability; and optimization of production processes.

The program is structured into three curricula, each aimed at developing a multifaceted professional profile with high-level strategic and operational competencies, capable of leading innovation in their respective fields:

Mechanical Engineering
This curriculum aims to train professionals capable of operating in interconnected industrial and service sectors, promoting innovation in the transition from Industry 4.0 to the Industry 5.0 paradigm. Particular emphasis is placed on the integration of humans and technology (collaborative industry), leveraging Artificial Intelligence as an enabling tool.

Management Engineering
This curriculum prepares professionals to address the challenges of digital transformation, sustainable supply chain management, and Industry 4.0, fostering a global and interdisciplinary perspective.

Sustainability and Energy Transition
This curriculum focuses on training experts capable of developing, designing, and managing sustainable energy systems, including complex and innovative ones. Special attention is given to the integration of these systems within digital energy ecosystems, with emphasis on energy production, distribution, and efficient use, as well as sustainable mobility.
