Objectives
The Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering for Innovation and Sustainability is aimed at those who wish to acquire technical and scientific skills to address the challenges of the ecological and digital transition, combining a solid engineering foundation with a forward-looking perspective.
The program’s goal is to train junior engineers capable of designing and managing sustainable and innovative technological solutions in civil and industrial contexts, working in complex, dynamic, and interdisciplinary professional environments.
The curriculum provides:
- A solid scientific foundation in mathematics, physics, and computer science;
- Cross-disciplinary and specialized engineering skills related to technological innovation, environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible resource use;
- Operational and communication abilities essential for teamwork and professional interaction.
The program is structured as an interdisciplinary course, allowing students to choose between two distinct pathways, each leading to a specific degree title:
Civil and Environmental Engineering (Class L-7)
This pathway focuses on the design, construction, and management of civil works and infrastructure, with particular attention to sustainability, safety, and climate adaptation.
Students gain expertise in areas such as hydraulics, geotechnics, structural engineering, technical architecture, and territorial planning, enabling them to operate at all stages of the construction process.
Industrial Engineering (Class L-9)
This pathway prepares professionals to work in the production, maintenance, design, and management of industrial plants and systems.
The program offers four thematic tracks:
- Aerospace: focused on systems for aviation and space;
- Mechanical: focused on the design and management of mechanical components and processes;
- Management: focused on the organization and control of production processes;
- Sustainability and Energy Transition: focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the circular economy.
The program is designed to provide a modern, flexible technical education that meets the demands of a changing labor market. Special emphasis is placed on developing practical and transferable skills, such as:
- The ability to work in teams and communicate effectively;
- Operational project management;
- Awareness of environmental, ethical, and social issues related to the engineering profession.
