The project involves the design and implementation of a containerized, transportable, and modular system for generating electricity from hydrogen-powered fuel cells and second-life batteries, together with mobile storage. Hydro-Dock 360 will have no impact in terms of vibrations on the installation environment and, being containerized, will be suitable for multi-user applications, as it can be installed wherever needed.
The Hydro-Dock 360 system will use hydrogen as “fuel,” initially supplied from mobile storage, and convert it into electrical power (base module size: 360 kW fuel cell and 120 kW second-life batteries) for use by a specific user, namely two cranes for container lifting and handling associated with a specific POD within the port of Civitavecchia, and/or for storage in the internal second-life batteries.
