In an academic environment increasingly looking beyond national borders, Guglielmo Marconi University has made internationalization one of the cornerstones of its identity. As the first fully digital Italian university, Unimarconi builds every day a global community founded on innovation, inclusion, and the promotion of Italian knowledge worldwide.
A University open to the world
Unimarconi welcomes a community of students and faculty from diverse countries and fosters a growing network of academic partners across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Thanks to its digital nature and flexible approach, the University offers an accessible, high-quality education model capable of connecting different cultures, experiences, and perspectives.
Its educational offerings, multilingual and multidisciplinary, are designed to meet the needs of students from varied backgrounds. Asynchronous courses are available for independent and flexible study, synchronous lessons via live streaming facilitate interaction, blended programs combine digital and in-person learning, and post-graduate in-person pathways are enhanced by the International Student House, a space for intercultural meeting and exchange.
A global network of relationships and opportunities
Unimarconi’s international strategy develops across five key areas:
- Africa, where the University promotes multilingual programs, institutional partnerships, and regional centers in line with the Mattei Plan and the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy.
- Europe and the Mediterranean area, through double-degree agreements, co-supervised PhDs, and collaborations with universities and research centers.
- Middle East, particularly Dubai, a rapidly growing educational and cultural hub.
- Southeast Asia, with excellence projects in multiple countries, including Singapore, where Unimarconi became the first Italian university recognized by the Committee for Private Education, the governmental body regulating international private education.
- Latin America, with courses in Spanish and initiatives dedicated to promoting Italian language and culture.
International recognition
In 2025, the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) included Guglielmo Marconi University among the top 2,000 universities worldwide, out of over 21,000 institutions evaluated. The University ranks within the top 8.3% globally, standing out as the only Italian online university in the ranking. This achievement confirms the strength of the Unimarconi educational model, recognized internationally today, based on teaching quality, graduate employability, scientific productivity, and research impact.
A cultural and social mission
For Unimarconi, internationalization is not only a growth strategy but also a cultural and social mission. Bringing Italy to the world and opening Italian universities to the world means making education accessible, breaking geographical and economic barriers through technology, and simultaneously highlighting what makes our country unique: culture, language, and a humanistic approach.
The goal is to educate not only professionals but global citizens capable of interpreting and leading change, contributing to sustainable community development and the creation of a more equitable and inclusive future.
