The use of digital technologies in India’s welfare programmes has increased significantly over the past two decades. To what extent has it increased efficiency of implementation, reduced corruption, enhanced inclusion, increased transparency? The talk by Prof. Reetika Khera (Professor of Economics at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) will be an introduction to these issues and related issues, based on the speaker’s work primarily, but not exclusively, in rural India.
